Going green
While sitting in the Pediatrician's office today I was reading the latest copy of Parents Magazine and came across an article about "Going Green." Every time I read one of those articles they seems so fresh, so sheik and so easy-to-do. I would love to be one of those mother's pictured in the article creating her own after school snacks from 100% organic food that my kids love to it. The reality of it is though, it seems like it feels like so much work to go green. What little experience I have had with organic food it either tastes absolutely horrible or is more expensive than regular food. Don't get me wrong I am all for feeding my family the healthiest food out there so they can be strong and live healthy lives, but sometimes I wonder what all the hype is about. I mean we grew up on fast food, red meat, slim jims, and gummi worms and we turned out okay didn't we? I mean yes I get understand landfills, the ozone, and pollution but sometimes I think it gets out of hand! Perhaps I will take the small dive into this "greenness" that is sweeping our country and pick up reusable grocery bags during my next market trip. I've been meaning to pick them up anyway, I hear you can fit soooo many more groceries in there than the plastic bags!

My RX!
My new stress reliever? The Steam room at the gym! It is gloriooooous. It is silent. It is all that helps me to keep my sanity these days. Seriously- go try it!
Ayden's Baptism
We had our youngest son baptized March 8. I'm just now getting to posting pictures because I couldn't find my camera the day of, due to worrying about all the details of the day, so people are just now emailing me pictures of the ceremony. It was a wonderful day spent with friends and family in the church that we recently became members of. Enjoy!

5 Months
Ok, I seriously feel like a little kid a couple of days before their birthday party. 5 months, really? I remember when Angel and I sat down after our old roomates wedding back in August and were determined to set the date for our wedding. Now we're coming into the home stretch. I am starting to get very anxious. Almost everything we need for the wedding at this point has been ordered, and is being shipped to our house as we speak. We actually were able to find a florist within our price range and she is amazing too. It seems like everything is coming together seamlessly at this point in our wedding planning lives. I couldn't ask for a better love of my life to marry either! ~Soulmates~

Update
Our wedding invitations finallyyyy came today! They are gorgeous and look so much better with our names on them then how they do in the book lol. Also, I had my first training session at my new gym today and nearly died! I did 30 mins on the elliptical beforehand and then met with Ruthie, my new BFF, who promises to have me in the best shape of my life for my wedding and honeymoon. The best part about our gym though is that they have "kid care" where I can drop my two little ones off for 2 whole hours and work out in peace. OMG, kid care is my savior these days! YAY for Tilton Fitness!

Comfort
I'd hate to give away too much info on here but let's just say that I was able to purchase another part of my bridal party's gift that will let them be more "comfortable" during our reception! Yay, another check.
Groomsmen gifts
Another check we got off our list yesterday while at the mall was all of our groomsmen gifts. Angel was able to purchase them all from Things Remembered and they are awesome looking! I don't wanna post a picture of what it is and ruin the surprise but lets just say he did good picking them out.
Lifestyle change
Angel and I finally hopped on the "better lifestyle train" that everyone seems to be on these days. We joined a gym in our area and had our first work out yesterday, which btw nearly KILLED US! We figured with just about 5 months left until the wedding it's perfect timing to work on our bodies. Anywho we plan on going 3-4 times a week and they offer a nursery for the children to play in while we work out, so that's a plus. So from here on, it's no more fast food, fried food, or Chang's food for us. I'll let you know how that plan works out, lol!
Wedding Ring
It's official! Yesterday Angel and I purchased my wedding band from Zales. We were shopping at the mall with our two kids and his younger sister (who is one of my BM's) and just decided to pop into Zales to see what they had to offer us. I cannot tell you how seriously beautiful this ring is. I can't even put into words the sparkle the diamonds give off. It's gorgeous and complements my engagement ring wonderfully. I'm the happiest girl in the world =)

I have been totally slacking on my blog this week I apologize. I have been picking up shifts at work so that we have everything we could ever want at our wedding and are not stressing last minute to gather funds for it. Some good news is that our cameras for our reception tables came in the mail this week as well as my garter! Also, I just ordered another part of the gifts for each of my bridesmaids. Other than that we are awaiting a WHOLE bunch of little things for the wedding which should be arriving over the next 2 weeks, and we're closing in on the 5 month mark!

Centerpieces
Angel and I have been thinking of unique ideas for table centerpieces at our wedding. This is what we were able to come up with, with a few small changes. The crystal stones at the bottom will be pink, and we will NOT be using the glitter. I think it goes with our heart theme beautifully. Also on the tables will be 5-6 lit votive candles in glass holders and a sprinkle of rose petals. What do you think?

Trickling in!
We have been very busy online lately ordering things for the wedding. About a week ago I ordered inserts for my bridal shower invitations from VistaPrint.com so that I wouldn't have to put two different sized inserts in there, one from BB&B and the other from Macys. They turned out so cute, I designed them myself and am attaching a picture because I am so in love with them!
In addition, I found a website called weddingchannelstore.com that was having an amazing sale and it finally helped me figure out what I am going to get for my 2 MOH's and 4 BM's. Which I am so happy about because I have been struggling with this for a very long time because I have such a large bridal party I really can't go crazy with expensive things. I can't tell you what I got them because some follow my blog, and for that I love them because they're probably the only ones that read this silly thing, so I am going to have to leave that a mystery until our rehersal dinner. I can tell you however that I did also find our table cameras for our reception at the same site for only $2.99 per camera. Is that amazing or what? Seriously, I love this site. And they even come with little folding tents to let the guests know to take pictures for us. You can check them out here! The last thing I was able to order from that site was my garter because they were selling it for $6 less than another company I found had it for. Ahh, I love getting a good deal =) It's a set of two, so I'll be able to have one to throw and one to keep, and it's going to be my something BLUE!

Snow Day!!
We woke up in South Jersey to a scene that was very reminiscent of the Blizzard of '96. I was totally syked to take my little guy out to play in the snow, have a snow ball fight, and build a snow man. While his little brother was quietly napping we were able to have some fun outside and enjoy the cold weather! Here are some pics to enjoy. I just cant help it but the second picture reminds me so much of the little boy from A Christmas Story, lol!
