My first vendor show!

April 30th I did my first vendor show at the Hidden Valley Riding Center Spring Festival. I opted to share the booth with a lady I went to high school with who makes AMAZING cakes. If you can think it, she can make it! This helped to cut my vendor fee in half, as I wasn't quite sure how I was going to make out and investing a large chunk of money into this event was very nerve wracking to me. To my surprise the day turned out great! the weather was amazing, I brought my sister Emma along w/ me for companionship and manual labor lol, and ran into a lot of people from high school that I haven't seen since I graduated. Now if you know me, you would know that I wasn't uber excited about at first about seeing people I hadn't seen since graduation and having fake "I miss you" convo's and probably would not have done the show if I had thought about running into all these people beforehand but I didn't and it worked out for the better! I ran into a couple of old girlfriends who I was friends with since middle school, one of whom now has a baby and husband of her own and its great to see that she is doing very well for herself and her family!

Okay now that I've rambled...back to the main point. Whe
n I showed up I had NO idea what to expect because I had never done anything like this before. The fairgrounds where we were to set up looked very tiny to me at first and in all there were about 20 vendors lined up in a horse shoe shape to display our work. There were people there selling screen print t-shirts, a lady making tu-tu's, a couple who made hand made jewelry from sea glass they found along the Cape May Beach and then there was tiny old me. Except for Jamie, the lady I was sharing my booth with who had never done a show either, I didn't know any of the vendors. The crowds were the perfect clientel for my products as it was a lot of families with young children and pregnant mommies. All in all it was a great day, all of the money raised from rides, food, and our vendor fees went towards a great cause and I felt very blessed to have made out so well. Now, without further ado here are the pictures from the day.
