Ayden is almost 27 months old and has been obsessed with cars and trucks since shortly after his first birthday! Oh who am i kidding...as soon as he was able to sit himself up and push anything with wheels back and forth he has been obsessed. Well our little guy has so many Hot Wheels cars these days that were spread ALL over the house so hubby and I finally decided to do something about it. On our venture to Toys R Us last week we found a really neat Hot Wheels carrying case that is a back pack and he just loves it. It works out perfectly too because it holds all of his cars he has and knows when him and his brother are finished playing with them they need to go back in his back pack. The only problem is we haven't been able to get him to take the back pack off! Here he is with it!

All over the place

I started my maternity leave last week (2 weeks earlier than expected!!) so my mind has been a mixture of being in total mommy mode, extremely pregnant mode, and crazy mode. By crazy mode i mean my thoughts/plans are ALL over the place! I try to stay as organized as I can, write everything down, and remember what comes up on a daily basis but between my blackberry and paper scheduler i feel like i'm on the verge of forgetting everything!! I have a HUGE list of what I would like to get done before baby #3 makes his appearance, in addition to what i already do on a daily basis lol :)

On the plus side tonight i think i may have found a sewing machine to finally get started sewing, i'll keep you posted!! Now i just need to find someone to give me sewing lessons!

My First Craft!

So we have been having a terrible power struggle in our house with our son Angel who is 4. I feel like I’m dealing with a teenager when it comes to his attitude, behavior, and rudeness. Yes many of you may say he is only 4, leave him be; however I am a person who likes order in my house as well as a routine. So this is my solution (well solution #1 LOL)…a behavior chart. He will be rewarded with 1 gold star when he shows each behavior. In the beginning we are going to start the star count off small where Angel will have to earn 3 stars in one day and when he does he will be able to pick a prize from his special prize box!! Because Angel is only 4 I am going to do this on a daily basis rather than weekly and see where that takes us. So without further ado on my journey to becoming more crafty I attempted to take pictures to show you the project before and after, enjoy!

Here are the materials I started with.

Here are the behaviors we are hoping to work on:

Brushing his teeth

Listening

Cleaning up his toys

Being kind to his brother

Speaking quietly

Sharing

Complaint Department

I just can't help it. I'm a complainer-by nature. It's just what I do. I've tried many times to break the habit but nothing works, so I came across this cartoon the other day and i think its hysterical!

I can't help myself!

Thanks to fellow blogger, Holly I have been addicted to Etsy since our wedding last August. Well this past week i just gave into my Etsy obsession for our newest addition to the family (whose name is still a surprise!!) I was able to find the cutest burp cloths, that are hand made and sewn as well as a really trendy nursing cover...if I ever find the nerve to breastfeed in public rather than the confines of our car lol! Enjoy the pics :) Oh and a confession of mine: I really wish I owned a sewing machine and was able to create these gorgeous pieces on my own, i think it would just be SO much fun!!

Soccer!

Angel, our 4 year old, is finally old enough to start playing sports through our township. My husband and I have been waiting for this day since he was born! We signed him up for soccer and the season began about 4 weeks ago. He has been loving every second of it, and has so much fun with all the kids. In fact, some of the kids on his team go to his preschool which is always a plus! Here are a few snapshots from the season so far!

Confession...

I want to confess that I have become officially obsessed with craigslist! I have found some really great items on there for the new baby and even a toy or two for Angel and Ayden. It's like going to a yard sale every day (which is another confession of mine...that i just LOVE yard sales)! I've even sold a few items on there as well :) Here are just a few items I have purchased from craigslist:
An adorable moses basket!

I also purchased this awesome Parent's Activity block from there too. I've been in the market for one for a while now. Everytime we go to any doctor's office the boys play with them non-stop and i finally found one that didn't cost as much as my spring wardrobe!

Wiped out!

I am utterly exhausted! We had a VERY busy day today. I started the day off waking up at 6 am (i've become so uncomfortable while sleeping this late in pregnancy that I was thankful that I slept that late)! I remembered I had to go have blood work done before my next doctor appointment on Tuesday, so needless to say I was "lined up" outside of Labcorp at about 6:45 this morning waiting for them to open. Even being there that early, i was still about 15th in line...Afterwards i came home and you would think that a VERY pregnant lady like myself would crawl into bed and stay there; however my kids were already awake and my husband was only 1/2 awake so i had to get Angel dressed for soccer practice this morning. I also had to dress Ayden and feed them both breakfast. Soccer lasted from 9-10 and afterwards we ended up walking across the fields to watch the "peanut" division of football because it turned out our local football team was playing the Middle Twp. Panthers, which is the team from my hometown. We watched for about 20 minutes and then piled into our car, came home, and changed clothes to get ready for some much needed shopping(because it had went from about 55 degrees to nearly 70 degrees and we all needed some lighter clothing to wear).

Next we were off to the races...no not literally but it sure felt like it. We managed to hit 3 stores (Party city for Halloween costumes, Babies R us, and Kohls) and feed ourselves lunch all in less than 2 hours time! In addition to picking up some more baby clothes and a few needed accessories I think it's safe to say too that we have picked out our new car seat for baby #3 and luckily it will match our ENORMOUS double stroller we will soon be dusting off and using again. Unfortunately no pics from today, but i promise to try and catch up on all that i have neglected over the past couple of months of not blogging so don't worry there will be plenty of pictures in the future!

I'm baaaack!!

Please excuse my non-existence but apparently google did not want me posting to my blog for the last couple of months as it switched my password on me and i just figured out how to change it back! We've had some major changes in the past few months and weeks. When i last left off i was just starting a new job and had a "secret" i wasn't quite ready to share with the rest of the world. That secret is no longer a secret and is that we're expecting baby #3!! I'm currently 7 1/2 months along now with our 3rd BOY :) I'm at the same job and still loving every moment of it! I'm just thankful in our economy to even have a job, let alone one i am in love with. Here's a rundown of everything that has happened in the past 7-8 months:

-we became pregnant with baby boy #3
-i patched up a much missed friendship with an old friend
-both of our kids had birthdays
-our oldest son has started pre-k
-we are attempting to potty train our youngest son
-my husband became the sole cleaner of the house
-for the first time in my life i am working 40 hours/week
-i went camping with my family for the first time ever and LOVED it!
-celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary (and yes we ate the cake too)

So here's to new beginnings, updates on current life, and hopes for the future!
